The obstacle we face is changes in weather conditions. This is due to the presence of low rain season and high sunny season. Since my parents are peasants of low scale farming. In this year we have experienced low rain and long summer season which haven’t help in growth of crop plant my parents have grown. This made my family acquire very little food which will not be enough for the family expenditure.
This obstacle of presence of low rain made the plants grown by my parent and other farmer to not grow well and some die due to lack of rain. Also, some livestock which are kept in our village like cattle, goats and sheep die due to lack of grass and water. Some drink dirty water which makes them too sick and die.
What my family got is occurrence of some diseases also the death of some livestock and crop plant. The vegetable I planted die due to lack of rain.
From what I experienced this year I learned to not put both legs in one bucket. Meaning that to not depend on one thing, for example to not depend on rainfall only. We sometimes have to plant different varieties of crops. Also, I learned to know the changes in atmosphere or climatic changes sometimes make the occurrence of diseases. For example, due to high rainfall malaria may erupt. Also due to low rainfall or no rainfall at all, people get flu due to the presence of dust. Also, some people die due to high temperatures. Like this year it has been announced that high hot temperature season.
