I am Lydia Kihongosi and I want to share with you the lesson I learnt from the obstacles I faced.
It was 2017 when my mother started to get sick and it turned out she was suffering from kidney failure and HPV and there was no hope in treating her as we did not have enough money for her treatment and because of that our relatives abandoned her and us as well and her situation became worse as days went by, this situation caused me and my siblings to lack even the basic needs such as food, clothes and even education,
This situation affected me so much that I started to have poor performance in school and I also got stomach ulcers because of hunger. My mom then decided to call our aunt who decided to take us and take care of us until today. My aunt took care of us and also took us to school where as last year I completed my secondary level at Kleruu secondary school, from all these obstacles I have learnt that we should help each other when we face any problem and not escape from them like my mother's relatives who left her to die, also we should respect all the people who help us through our harsh times and never give up on ourselves. I am grateful for everything TSF has done for me and hopefully I will one day achieve my dream of becoming a lawyer with all their assistance and help.
