Benedict Mbaka
My name is Benedict Mbaka and during my early life I lived in the slums of Mukuru Kwa Lunga Lunga. Life has been tough in the slums trying to cope with the never-ending crime, drug abuse and even school dropouts.
The most difficult experience in my life was watching my parents skip meals so that my siblings and I don't go hungry.
My proud and happiest memory was when I managed to secure a place in the university. As for my high school life, it wasn’t that tough except for the issues of school fees and peer pressure.
My dream is to become a professor and renowned writer, so I plan to work hard at school to fulfill my dream.
After achieving my dream, I will help my family out of the slums, help the most unfortunate and aid in ensuring education for the less privileged.
If I had the power to change Kenya, I would have gotten rid of all the corruption that is dragging the country to its knees. I would have also aided the less fortunate in the country to ensure that the country is a better place for everyone.

Greetings world education fund I take this opportunity to thank you for the hand you offered in my education fee.
After the long covid 19 pandemic holiday education learning haven’t been the same. Teachers and students are both pressured by the disease but we are working hard to put things back to their places learning has been different but I am working hard to score high in my performance. Am trying hard to cope with the fast going syllabus in school so as not to be behind.
Now I can see the fruits of my hard work and my performance are becoming better
First, I would like to pass gratitude to U-Tena for the help it has provided for me in terms academics benefits.
The previous term has not been an easy one for me and most of the students all over Kenya.
After the corona, pandemic things were not normal as they were before.
School has been different due to the precautions taken due to the Covid 19 learning under strict circumstances has been hard.
Students at school learnt with fear of the disease if one person could infect.
Everyone tried his or her best to stay safe and study hard. Here back at home am studying hard so as to improve on my academics performance .surely the long corona pandemic has done a lot of damage to a lot of students as d I hope I will recover and get better soon.
Yours sincerely
Benedict mutindi
