Benedict Mbaka
My name is Benedict Mbaka and during my early life I lived in the slums of Mukuru Kwa Lunga Lunga. Life has been tough in the slums trying to cope with the never-ending crime, drug abuse and even school dropouts.
The most difficult experience in my life was watching my parents skip meals so that my siblings and I don't go hungry.
My proud and happiest memory was when I managed to secure a place in the university. As for my high school life, it wasn’t that tough except for the issues of school fees and peer pressure.
My dream is to become a professor and renowned writer, so I plan to work hard at school to fulfill my dream.
After achieving my dream, I will help my family out of the slums, help the most unfortunate and aid in ensuring education for the less privileged.
If I had the power to change Kenya, I would have gotten rid of all the corruption that is dragging the country to its knees. I would have also aided the less fortunate in the country to ensure that the country is a better place for everyone.
