NAME: OYARO JOSEPH.
SCHOOL: FRIEND’S SCHOOL MBALE.
Since the outbreak of COVID 19 us as students we were really affected. Having being stayed at home for a couple of nine months indeed was a huge challenge for me as a student in terms of my education. I do thank U-TENA for hearing our call, that we needed assistance and came to our rescue organizing learning sessions in last year, which really reminded as we are students and e should continue working hard to achieve our goals.
Early January this year, we were informed of the schools reopening. We went back to school thinking that life and everything at school was still the same, but to our disappointment, life had changed because it was a marathon towards recovering the lost time. At school, fees was another challenge as expenses increased and the school was even running out of bankruptcy , but thank lord for the school was able to cop-up with the situation.
On arriving at school, I knew a lot of time had been wasted during the CORONA holiday. It came to my consciousness that I had to put some measures like being ahead of the teacher in terms of syllabus coverage, avoiding procrastination, and strictly following my school time table .This helped me a lot in covering the syllabus and recovering the lost time. My timetable and the revision materials available in school really assisted me during my revision.
Life in school was quite hard but despite that, I managed to attain an average mean grade of B PLAIN, though it was a drop according to my previous performance, but I believe I will improve. I am looking forward towards my K.C.S.E examination, and from the way am planning myself am sure I will be able to attain a mean grade of A PLAIN, I do promise to make you people proud.
Am so thankful to WORLD EDUCATION FUND through U-TENA for all you have done to me, indeed you are my heroes and my engine towards achieving my goals and having a successful life. As I will be going back to school, I promise to work smart and produce the best grades since a man is not limited. Thank you very much U-TENA.
