When I was growing up, I never knew that life was difficult unlike what it seems to look like. Having three meals was sometimes not easy. Again, I would never know that I would survive with one meal a day but by God's grace I overcome the challenge.
The most difficult experience I had in life is when Mukuru Sums was demolished while I was in class eight. By then my mother was jobless and making food on the table was difficult despite the fact that we are five children in our family and I am the firstborn. But due to my mother is hardworking single parent, she can able to provide one meal per day to sustain our life.
The moment I felt proud of myself was when I sat for my class eight national examinations and managed to score 317. The marks I never imagined after a nasty experience of demolition of Mukuru slum.
The happiest moment in my life is when I joined form one and I east expected due to situation at home. There was no money for me to join high school.
My dream in life is to make Kenya a better place in the future and academic Excellency nation for all the children regardless of their background affluent or destitute.
I am going to get there after working hard in my dream I am going to help my family by improving their living standards and making them happy and donate back to the community by building health centers and schools.
If I had the power to change my country, I would change the country's technology and economy so we can be among developed countries in form of technology and economic finance.

WEEK 1 & 2
Everything was fine at school and learning was taking place as usual. Everyone was on toes to ensure learning takes place at school, the school was quite to enhance conducive learning environment and the teachers were punctual to attend lessons.
WEEK 3 & 4
Life at school begun to change, it started with water being scarce in school, the school became hell and we lacked water to quench our thirst. After 2 days, the principle sorted the issue and the money was back.
WEEK 5
This week was hectic for some of us since we were sent back home for fees, I remember going home for 3 consecutive days. I was demoralized and poor performance in CAT resulted.
WEEK 6
Bedbug pandemic was ramped this week. There was no peace in the dormitory. My fellows used to camp outside the dormitory to spend the night peacefully, some went ahead and shifted from sleeping in the dormitory to the classroom during dawn hours.
WEEK 7
It was a week after the 4 days’ half-term break. We had embarked on serious business that is academics. Our main motive was to prepare for the end term exams. It was tiresome because we had to go back and revise bit by bit.
WEEK 8
It was fantastic as the term from the career department camped in the school guiding us on relevant courses related to the subjects. It was an important event, because our school hosted the schools in the region.
WEEK 9
This was a stressful week, since we had to retrieve what had been taught in class to answer the questions. The examinations lasted for 3 days and there were no cases of mal practices.
WEEK 10
It was long awaited week, since everyone was going back home (school closure). The principle wished everyone well and safe travels and we proceeded home safely.
I have dropped in my end term one exam by attaining grade C plain. I have identified my areas of weakness and I promise to work hard in the sciences and improve my grades to B- in the 2nd term.
The reason behind my poor performance was constant send off for school fees. I was demoralized and catching up with my pees became difficult task to accomplish. I’m looking forward towards improvement in my 2nd term exam this year.
