My name is Irene George, and I am the firstborn in my family, which has four children: three girls and one boy. My parents are peasants who grow different types of crops, such as maize. I enjoy playing netball and cooking rice.
My dream is to become a pilot because there are few women in this profession in Tanzania. Unfortunately, my parents? economic condition is not very good; they do not have enough money to cover my school needs and those of my siblings.
The moments that bring me happiness are when I achieve better grades in class, which gives me hope that I will reach my dream of becoming a pilot. However, I face difficulties when my parents fail to provide for my needs, which impacts my ability to study effectively.
This situation makes me think that there is a need for me to study hard in order to find the solution to any obstacles I have in my family and my community at all so I have a great ambition of achieving my goal as a pilot.
I will make sure that the education I receive and the support of others to me will make me also supportive to the school fund, the community and my family.
