Marcos Irungu
My name is Marcos Mwangi and I am very grateful to all WEF for all the chances given to me. If I may remember well, I was once into garbage collection in the streets and funded my primary education. This was my worst experience as I had to wake up early and in tattered clothes so as to earn a living. This also made me very proud for I once brought some food to the table when it had become a burden to my mother.
The most memorable thing in my life was when I had to see my little sister come home as healthy as I had prayed for her. I always had the dream of being an electrical engineer and I will take all the opportunities that come to my grasp and learn everything there is to learn about the course.
If I succeed and persue my career I will return to my society and make sure they are not exploited and make sure that all youths may have opportunities to persue their dreams.
If the power to change our government were given to me now, I would try to change the educational funding system and ensure all can access education freely without having to struggle like I had to.
I may leave you with a quote that says "If you don't come from a rich background then let the wealth come from you." May God bless you and cherish you with his grace.
