I live with my parents, but our life is difficult because we are very poor. My parents failed to pay school fee and to give us basic needs of food, clothes and education. My father is a farmer who grows tomatoes, maize, and vegetables. My mother sells tea to help the family. I want to study hard to change the life of my family and to make my life better and to help other people who have difficult lives like my parents.

I pay God to help me. I thank The School Fund for supporting me and helping me to fulfill my dream to become a teacher.

Hi Students,
Hope you are all doing well. In the U.S., the students have just returned from one week Thanksgiving holiday. In California, the Corona Virus has become worse, so the government has limit the stores to be 25% capacity again. Most schools offer distance learning through Zoom or any other online platform. Most time, people need to line up outside before they are allowed to enter the stores. People can only get take out food from restaurants or eat at some outdoor dining places. When we go out, we are required to wear a face mask and stay 6 feet away from other people. We are glad that you are healthy and safe and that the Corona Virus is not as bad in Africa. We hope you do well in school and be healthy and happy!

Dear All,
I hope you are staying safe and healthy! Here in California, the Corona Virus cases have surged and the Covit color code has changed from orange to purple. Purple, or Tier 1, indicates that the virus is widespread in the county — with more than seven cases per 100,000 residents or more than 8% of tests results reported positive over seven days. Red (Tier 2) indicates “substantial” spread of the virus, while orange (Tier 3) indicates “moderate” spread and yellow (Tier 4) indicates “minimal” spread of the virus in the county. Most children are doing 100% distance learning at home. They attend each class on line through zoom on their computers. It is very difficult for children to be sheltered at home and not to have any social interactions with other kids. We hope and pray that the Corona Virus can get controlled and the vaccine can come soon so that everyone can resume life back to normal. I hope that you all stay safe and healthy. Enjoy your school as most kids in California can’t even go to school. God bless you all!

Dear student,

Time flies, This year went by so quickly. It is almost the end of the semester or the school year for you. Most of you are either about to take your National exam or the end of year exam. I wish you all will do your best and perform well. "Education is the passport of the future". Only you can control your destiny. Good luck no matter what you do. Pray to God to guide you along your way.

There were so many things that happened this year. There were presidential elections in both Tanzania and the US. In your country, the election went well. In the US, we still have issues with our election results, and we hope these will be resolved soon. COVID-19 has been really bad in the US. We have more than 1M people affected and many have died. It looks like the vaccines will be available soon, but it will take time to make enough for everybody. We are all looking forward to the year 2021. We wish for a better year ahead of us.

On a happier note, it is the holiday season now. Next week is Thanksgiving in the US. We thank God that everything good that has happened to us this year. Remember always to be thankful and appreciative. Then by the end of December it is Christmas and people exchange gifts. Children are very happy to get the gift that they wish to have. Then the New Year comes along soon after.

I wish that you learn more and be smarter than the year before. I wish you happiness, health, and that your wishes and dreams will come true.

Here autumn is just passing through and winter is coming around the corner. The weather is getting colder and colder every day. I would like to show some of our fall photos. Hope you like it.
Dear students,
I heard some of you have already done the national exams and some of you are about to take the exams. I just wanted to wish you the best in doing the exams. I know that you have worked really hard for the exams, and I do hope to hear the good news from you regarding your exam results. May God bless you!

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for sharing about the election in your country. We are also in the middle of presidential election in the U.S. I pray for peace in all the countries especially during the election time. It is okay for people to have different opinions about the candidates that they support, but it is not okay to have hatred toward each other. Let us agree to disagree and pray for peace around the world.

Hello Everyone,
For those who have just started school on June 29, welcome back! 2020 is certainly a year full of challenges. I am glad that you are healthy and are able to return to school. You may now treasure the opportunity of learning even more after being forced to stay at home for a few months. I hope you find happiness through reading, learning and making new friends. Please remember to wash your hands often and not to touch your face with your hands. Stay safe and well!

Hello student,

Welcome back to school. I hope you are doing fine. We all went through hardships during this COVID-19 period. Let us focus on school again. Hope you follow the rules about how to protect yourself.

Now we all know life is sometimes is very unpredictable. One thing certain is that if you have a good education, you will have a better life in the future. You will protect yourself better in difficult times. Please write to us to let us know what you did and how you coped during the school closure, especially what were the most difficult and challenging things you faced.

Keep up good work and try your best.
Hello Everyone,
I hope this post finds you safe and healthy! I heard many of your schools are closed due to Coronavirus. It is not easy to stay at home for a long time and not going out to see friends. We are practicing shelter in place (stay at home) in California for at least two weeks, then our government will decide will to do next. While we have more time to be with our family, social isolation could also cause some issues such as depressions and anxiety. So it is essential to keep yourself busy each day. Maybe you can set a schedule for yourself now that school is out. Students tend to sleep late and get up late when there is no set schedule. You can allocate certain number of hours each day to do your school work or do some self learning. Make sure you exercise each day to keep you healthy both physically and mentally. This is also a great time to help your parents with house chores or learn how to cook a new dish. In my family, after we finish our work/study each day, we play board games, watch a movie together or do puzzles. In the first week of lock down, we have finished a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle. I hope you all do your part to keep social distance and beat Coronavirus.
Please take care,
Grace
Hello Everyone,
I hope you are doing well! Here in the U.S., our president has declared national emergency last Friday (Mar 13th). People start to panic and go to shopping to store food and toilet paper, etc. Many schools including my children's are closed for four weeks and most of the gyms, movie theaters and restaurants are closed. I hope you are fine and your country does not get much Corona Virus. Please wash your hands often and don't touch your face with your hands. Cover your mouth with your elbow when you cough. Eat vitamin C rich food. Don't panic and stay calm. I believe this crisis shall pass and let us help each other during this very difficult time.
Take care,
Grace
Hello All,

Today I would like to share with you about happiness.
The following points can be used as daily reminders to live and enjoy the Free Happiness that is your birthright.

1. Look for happiness in the right place.
We spend most of our time looking for happiness in all the wrong places. If you simply look within, you can discover the source of unlimited happiness now. Also, if you examine those things that you think make you happy, I think you will find this pattern inside. When you satisfy a particular desire, even temporarily, your mind gets quieter and the happiness that is your natural state is able to shine through a little more. If you allow yourself to catch this process as it unfolds inside of you, you will learn to take happiness directly from it's source within you and you will enjoy everything that you have or do more fully.

2. Stop rushing past life.
Have the attitude of, "I have all the time in the world," even when working on a deadline. You will not only feel happier but you will get things done more easily and quickly. If you catch yourself rushing, simply let go of pushing yourself as best you can and allow yourself to take one step or one action at a time.

3. Let go!
This is the core of the Method! Most of us spend way too much time holding onto what was. If you let go of what was, and stop dragging it into the present or projecting it into the future, you can enjoy what is now.

4. Accept what is.
When we want to change what is, we suffer. If you just let go of wanting to change what is as best you can, even for a moment, you are immediately happier. Plus, you no longer have to hold onto your problems in order to change them, and they often change or clear up all by themselves.

5. Give from your heart.
The giver is truly blessed. Whenever you give without wanting anything in return, even if it is just an understanding ear, you are instantly happier. The key is in not expecting to get anything from giving. If you want to get something back, you are not truly giving and you miss the blessing of happiness that true giving brings.

6. Give love instead of trying to get it.
If you look for others to give you love, you will often be unhappy. However, if you allow yourself to be as loving as you can for no reason at all, you will instantly feel happier. As Lester Levenson used to say, "Love, love, love and you will always be happy."

7. Be present with what is.
If you are simply present with whatever you are experiencing now, as opposed to what was or what might be, you will find there is no end to your happiness. As best you can, take breaks from trying to assign meaning and a history to the sounds, sensations and pictures that arise in your awareness. Another way to say this is to welcome whatever arises in your consciousness as best you can.

8. Live life wide open.
Even if there are supposed threats around you, when you close off from your environment, you are only locking in suffering and holding away happiness. The more you simply open inside you let the pain you already have out and you become transparent to the pain that appears to be coming from outside of you. When you are truly open the pain can't stick to you.

9. Pick agreements.
If you look for things to agree with just as they are, you can find them, even at your darkest hour. Every time you pick an agreement with what is in your experience, you experience more happiness.

10. Expand your awareness.
As you expand your awareness, you expand your ability to feel happy. You can do this quite simply by allowing your awareness to be as contracted as it is and as expanded as it is. The more you embrace both sides, the more you can recognize the vastness that is your basic nature.

11. Accept the possibility of Happiness now.
Most of us are waiting for something to change in order to give us an excuse to be happy. If we decide it is possible to be happy, whether or not that something ever changes, we can become happy now.
I recommend that you print this email so that you can have these principles available for you to work with on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy working with these simple principles. I promise that if you allow yourself to be open to exploring any one of them, you will find yourself with a smile on your face, happy to be alive here and now.
I would like to ask you to tell me what is your major accomplishment during your break. What is the proudest thing you did you would like to share with us?
Good luck with your new school year. I want to let you know when you reach your goal and successful. Please don't forget to help all other students who need your help to reach their dream. To see you help out all the member of TSFTZ family will be the best rewqrd for me
Dear student,

Welcome back to school. I just want to say hello to you. Remember we are thinking about you. I hope this new year you set a new goal, you would like to achieve.

Meanwhile, remember to read as much as you can. Most of the knowledge you learn is from reading.  Write a couple of sentences a day.  It is nice at the end of the day to think about what you have accomplished.  It is a very good skill you should have. If you have good writing skills, it will benefit you all your life.

My friend wrote an entry to a student journal.  I thought it is so great, I would like to share it with you.  I hope we could work on these three things to make each of us a better person:

1. Respect other people's opinions even they are different from your own.
2. Experience the joy of learning
3. Touch someone's soul with your kindness.
