Lucy Erasto Kalinga
I am 18 years old and I am from a nuclear family with my three siblings. My dream is to become an orthopedic surgeon. Through personal efforts, faith, and self-discipline. I am sure I am going to reach the peak of my dream.
The thing that I am not going to forget in my life is that I was chosen to join the WEF family. I was very happy. I was also happy when my mother gave birth to a baby boy. To be honest, a lot of things that happened in my life make me proud. Among them now is when the form five selection came out and I was selected to study PCB. This was my dream since I was young.
One of the difficult experiences I go through is my father's health condition because he suffers from headaches. This encourages me to put much effort into my studies for the sake of my family. Also, I need faith and hope to achieve success.
After my dream comes true, I will support my family’s basic needs. I will help patients in my community. And to help WEF, I am going to volunteer, motivate and support other students who are in need in order to build our country and the world. According to our country, we need to learn practically and not only theoretically in order to have professional workers. If I am going to be an orthopedic surgeon, I need to learn more in a practical way. When I reach my dream, I will work on motivating and convincing the government on this challenge.
