The most difficult experience that I had in my life is when I had to walk for a long time to reach the school where I studied and to stay for a long time without eating because my father did not have enough money. What I learned from it is to study hard so in the future I will not have the kind of life I am living now. The happiest moment in my life is when I heard my name was mentioned to The School Fund. That is when I realized that I can change my life even though I am in this situation. I would like to change my country by helping students who have hardship in their families by providing them with good education services, like books, school uniforms and also with food so that they won't starve from hunger.

Hello Everyone,
For those who have just started school on June 29, welcome back! 2020 is certainly a year full of challenges. I am glad that you are healthy and are able to return to school. You may now treasure the opportunity of learning even more after being forced to stay at home for a few months. I hope you find happiness through reading, learning and making new friends. Please remember to wash your hands often and not to touch your face with your hands. Stay safe and well!

Hello WEF students,
Hope you are all doing well and staying safe during these tough times. I've heard that you are going back to school! How is it? Is it tough to change your schedule? Hope to hear from you all soon, and good luck with your studies.

Hello student,

Welcome back to school. I hope you are doing fine. We all went through hardships during this COVID-19 period. Let us focus on school again. Hope you follow the rules about how to protect yourself.

Now we all know life is sometimes is very unpredictable. One thing certain is that if you have a good education, you will have a better life in the future. You will protect yourself better in difficult times. Please write to us to let us know what you did and how you coped during the school closure, especially what were the most difficult and challenging things you faced.

Keep up good work and try your best.
Hello WEF members,

How are you all doing? Hopefully you are able to stay safe.

I know that many of you do not have access to technology since schools are shutting down, so it is ok if you do not see this post.

I just wanted to check in with all of you. How are you guys studying (or not studying) now that school has been closed? For me, my teachers leave homework for us to do everyday since my school has been closed for the rest of the school year.

Yesterday was April Fool's day. On April Fool's day, you are supposed to joke around or prank your friends/family. Here is a joke: Why did the bike fall over? Because it was two tired.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Daniel
Hello Everyone,
I hope this post finds you safe and healthy! I heard many of your schools are closed due to Coronavirus. It is not easy to stay at home for a long time and not going out to see friends. We are practicing shelter in place (stay at home) in California for at least two weeks, then our government will decide will to do next. While we have more time to be with our family, social isolation could also cause some issues such as depressions and anxiety. So it is essential to keep yourself busy each day. Maybe you can set a schedule for yourself now that school is out. Students tend to sleep late and get up late when there is no set schedule. You can allocate certain number of hours each day to do your school work or do some self learning. Make sure you exercise each day to keep you healthy both physically and mentally. This is also a great time to help your parents with house chores or learn how to cook a new dish. In my family, after we finish our work/study each day, we play board games, watch a movie together or do puzzles. In the first week of lock down, we have finished a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle. I hope you all do your part to keep social distance and beat Coronavirus.
Please take care,
Grace
HI Gladness,
Me and my family are great! You were actually contacting my mom recently. Her name is Grace. How is your family? How are you guys doing?

Wow, that sounds really serious. I agree with you , I kind of wish that this would be over. But on the other side, it is nice to get away from all the daily stress and do work from home without having to do tests, though obviously it is easier and better to study at school.

That's amazing! I just realized that it HAs been a year! Its been great to know you, and I am looking forward to posting in the future.

Stay well,
Daniel

PS Really nice drawing!
Hello there Miss Grace,
I just hope that you and your family are well being despite of the crisis that the whole world is facing.

Thanks for the information about the covid-19. i will be sure to follow all the preventive measures that you shared with us, thanks a lot since now i have learned something new especially when you mentioned one of the prevention which is Eating food rich in vitamin C, i will be sure to tell my other friends about this since it's true and important that all of us should help each other in this difficult moment.
Hope you and your family will make through this

Hello Daniel,
I just hope that you and your family are fine,
First of all loved the portrait your sent to me , it so good!! And i loved the idea of drawing a cat under the dog's ear, am amazed by it.

Moving on, when i will get time, I will be sure to tell you about the stories that rahma and Catherine wrote.

Also about the COVID-19. Its really a big threat. For example Kenya which is a nearby country bordered by Uganda have also closed their schools and universities, fearing about more spreading of this virus, In East Africa the virus is now in Kenya where there have been reports of three people suffering from it . I just hope that this disease will finally come to an end because probably i don't want to stay at home. Never the less people cannot even afford the masks for covering their mouths and nose, that's why personally am praying hard so that everything will be fine again, Now even in church people cannot shook hands fearing of the virus. When entering the church the first thing you do is washing hands, then one can enter inside.
I hope you guys will be oky and soon you will get back to school

i just want you to stay safe, and happy anniversary for our friendship since we first met, i didn't want it to be like this but hey am happy your fine!!~
I believe this is what made us friends till today ,,

Hello WEF members!

I hope that everyone is able to stay safe during these turbulent times. Personally, my school has been let out for a month, as everyone is trying to stay safe and avoid spreading COVID-19.

On a lighter note, today in the US is Pi Day. Pi (Ο€) is a mathematical constant that is defined as the ratio from a circle's circumference to its diameter. On Pi Day, people celebrate by eating all different kinds of pi.

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are doing well! Here in the U.S., our president has declared national emergency last Friday (Mar 13th). People start to panic and go to shopping to store food and toilet paper, etc. Many schools including my children's are closed for four weeks and most of the gyms, movie theaters and restaurants are closed. I hope you are fine and your country does not get much Corona Virus. Please wash your hands often and don't touch your face with your hands. Cover your mouth with your elbow when you cough. Eat vitamin C rich food. Don't panic and stay calm. I believe this crisis shall pass and let us help each other during this very difficult time.
Take care,
Grace
Hello WEF Members,

Today I would like to share about COVID-19.

COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, is spread mainly from person to person, usually between people in close proximity. It is spread through coughing or sneezing. COVID-19 is extremely contagious.

You will know if you have COVID-19 if after 2-14 days you:
-have a fever
-are coughing a lot
-or have shortness of breath

In order to keep YOURSELF and OTHERS around you safe, make sure to:
-avoid close contact with people who are sick in general
-avoid touching any part of your face
-stay home when you are sick
-cover your coughing and/or sneezing
-wash your hands often

REMEMBER, COVID-19 is not extremely dangerous on its own, but when infants or newborns get the virus the fatality rate is much safer. Everyone, please try your best to stay safe.

We will get through this together.

Daniel
HI Gladness,
So glad to hear back from you! Well, I had a lot of fun on president's day because I had 6 days off of school. I went to my friend's house and we went to the park and played basketball.
Moving to a new school sounds exciting! I just moved to a new school this past year, and while it is a different experience, it feels more like school to me becuase I am getting a lot more work, but I guess that's just a part of growing up.
I would love to hear from stories that you, Catherine, and Rahma tell each other. Maybe I should ask them later.
I can send you a picture of a portrait my sister drew. She is quite good at drawing.
Thanks for the good wishes! Hope to hear from you soon.
Have a good day,
daniel
