Hi Students,
Hope you are all doing well. In the U.S., the students have just returned from one week Thanksgiving holiday. In California, the Corona Virus has become worse, so the government has limit the stores to be 25% capacity again. Most schools offer distance learning through Zoom or any other online platform. Most time, people need to line up outside before they are allowed to enter the stores. People can only get take out food from restaurants or eat at some outdoor dining places. When we go out, we are required to wear a face mask and stay 6 feet away from other people. We are glad that you are healthy and safe and that the Corona Virus is not as bad in Africa. We hope you do well in school and be healthy and happy!

HELLO WEF,
I hope that you are fine and you still perform well your daily activities also I am fine too and I still prepare myself for national examination.
Today is another Saturday I like to share with you about the agriculture and livestock keeping. Agriculture is the science of cultivating crops and keeping livestock.
Livestock are those animals that are kept by human being example cattle goat and sheep. In our society we are keeping those animals for various purposes for example we can keep cattle either for milk or meat purposes also these animals give us product like manure that we can use in farm to improve soil fertility so as to allow our crops to grow well.
The following are the factors that affect livestock keeping in Tanzania (our society):
1.BIOLOGICAL FACTOR; The presence of pest and parasite cause diseases to animals example tsetse fly and ticks cause sleeping sickness to animal so it led to low production of livestock product.
2. SOCIAL FACTOR; In our society there are different groups of people some of them are Muslims hence they do not accept keeping of pigs so the area with large number of Muslims is not suitable for keeping of pigs therefore led to low production of livestock products.
3. POOR KNOWLEDGE; This also led to poor production because many people are not well educated on how to keep well.
Ways can be taken to improve livestock production;
>Educating livestock owners about the good husbandry and best system of keeping.
>to improve the availability of inputs.
>to improve transportation and marketing of livestock products
