My most difficult experience was when I was sent home for a whole term due to lack of school fees. The lesson I learnt was that we should not drop out of school no matter what happens. A moment I felt proud of myself is when I achieved good marks in my national examination. The happiest moment was when we went to a church rally and won. My dream is to be an accountant. I will get there by working hard in school. I will help my family to go into better housing and a stable business. I will help the community by funding an organization to help the needy children, and WEF. I will give out scholarships to needy children. If I had power to change my country, I would make education compulsory for all children.

Dear student,
Welcome back to school. I just want to say hello to you. Remember we are thinking about you. I hope this new year you set a new goal, you would like to achieve.
Meanwhile, remember to read as much as you can. Most of the knowledge you learn is from reading.  Write a couple of sentences a day.  It is nice at the end of the day to think about what you have accomplished.  It is a very good skill you should have. If you have good writing skills, it will benefit you all your life.
My friend wrote an entry to a student journal.  I thought it is so great, I would like to share it with you.  I hope we could work on these three things to make each of us a better person.
1. Respect other people's opinions even they are different from your own.
2. Experience the joy of learning
3. Touch someone's soul with your kindness.
My name is Elphantus Kariuki I am very thankful for the opportunity you have given us through the A LOT change project. I will be very glad to utilize it when I was done with my primary education my guardians did not have money to help me join high school but due to U TENA after giving us a support I was able to join a day school in Viwandani. I will eagerly wait for this scholarship so that I utilize it and remove that burden from my guardian who struggle a lot to get my school fee. I will be very happy for your scholarship through U TENA organization and may God bless you more and more . I passed and am ready waiting for your scholarship
Yours sincerely
