Dinnah Ochieno
I am the 3rd born in the family of five children. All my brothers dropped out of school due to lack of school fees. Life is not simple at home as conditions are worsening with my dad affected with alcohol but no money for the rehabilitation. I have to look for food for the family as my mother is suffering from various health issues. All my other siblings depend on me for food and I also have to go to school. I constantly ask myself why was I born in this family and who will help me to achieve my dream of becoming a lawyer. I passed my national examination with a score of 323 despite the suffering I am going through. I hope to provide legal advice to the community and to fight corruption in our country. I believe in myself, despite of young age, and I will fight until the end.

Hello fellow students
I am doing well, I have had the most amazing holiday having spent quality time with my aunt, parents and friends. Due to my excellence performance, my parents hired a teacher who has been teaching me during holiday at a small fee. The teacher was handling areas where I felt I wanted improvement such as balancing chemical equations in chemistry. It has always been a challenge since the questions always appear in paper, paper two and paper 3. I have learnt that this particular topic is the foundation of good performance in chemistry. The teacher also explained to me various processes of preparation of chemicals and gas such as ammonium chloride, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen gas respectively. We also invested alot in chemistry paper three by calculation of titration problems and interpretation of laboratory results theoretically. Apart from that, I helped my parents out in the garden since it was a planting season. We planted maize, beans, cassava, groundnuts and sweet potatoes. My parents advised to avoid bad company to focus on my academics since they highly believe in me. I believe that I will not disappoint them and am looking forward to give them a better life in the future through hardwork because it pays.
I love you all and thank you for unending support. I will make, the future is bright
