It was September 2019 when I was told that I was chosen to be a member of the TSF program and that I was to be supported in my whole secondary education, this came as a pleasant surprise to my family as they had a problem with getting my school fees and other requirements since they had a hard time with providing them to all of us. I would like to express my gratitude to the TSF team for everything that they have done for both me and my family. We are all forever grateful for all your assistance through out the years.

Hello wef family,
Hopefully everyone is okay and possibly God has been offering better life to each one of us as a family under World Education Fund.
Today, I have taken time to reflect on the importance of setting goals early in life. Setting goals is a powerful process that allows individuals to envision their desired future and work strategically towards achieving it. Goals act as a roadmap, guiding one’s actions, priorities, and decisions. Without clearly defined goals, it becomes easy to drift through life without a sense of purpose or direction.

Establishing goals early helps in shaping one’s character, mindset, and overall approach to life. When goals are set at an early stage, they provide motivation and a sense of commitment that drives consistent effort. For example, a student who sets academic and personal goals early is more likely to develop discipline, time management skills, and determination — qualities that are essential for long-term success.

Furthermore, setting goals early encourages planning and foresight. It allows individuals to anticipate potential challenges and prepare practical strategies to overcome them. By setting both short-term and long-term goals, one can measure progress, stay focused, and maintain a clear sense of purpose. Early goal setting also fosters self-confidence, as achieving small milestones builds belief in one’s abilities to accomplish greater ambitions.

From a broader perspective, having well-defined goals contributes to personal growth and self-awareness. It helps individuals identify their strengths, weaknesses, and interests, which can guide career choices and life decisions. Setting goals early also reduces anxiety about the future because it creates a sense of control and direction over one’s path.

In my own life, I have learned that early goal setting not only helps me stay organized but also keeps me motivated, even during challenging times. My immediate goal is to excel academically, while my long-term goal is to build a meaningful career that allows me to contribute positively to society. I believe that every goal, no matter how small, serves as a stepping stone towards greater achievements.

Setting goals early in life is essential for success and personal fulfillment. It provides focus, discipline, and motivation while guiding individuals toward their dreams. I have realized that with clear goals, determination, and consistent effort, any vision can be turned into reality. Therefore, I will continue to set and refine my goals to ensure steady progress in both my academic and personal life.
Best regards.

My dearest TSF family,

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on something that's been on my mind lately, especially as we approach a very significant day here in Tanzania: Nane Nane Day. This is more than just a public holiday; it's a deep-seated celebration of the heart and soul of our nation—the farmers, pastoralists, and fishermen who are the very backbone of our economy.

The preparations for Nane Nane Day, which culminates tomorrow on August 8th, have been in full swing since the start of the month. The agricultural shows across the country are a vibrant testament to the hard work and innovation of our people. These exhibitions are a place where traditional knowledge meets modern technology, and where our farmers can learn about new seeds, better farming techniques, and sustainable practices.

The origins of this special day can be traced back to 1993, when it was officially established to specifically honor our agricultural community. It was a change from the previous "Saba Saba" day, with the goal of giving this vital sector its own dedicated platform.

As we look forward to the main event tomorrow, let's all take a moment to appreciate the immense contribution of our farmers. Their tireless effort and dedication feed our families, supply our industries, and drive our nation's progress. They are the true heroes of our land.

Warmly,
Eva Steward
