Caren Joas
I graduated from Welwel Secondary School in 2023. I am currently enrolled at MGM Health Training Institute, where I am pursuing a diploma in Clinical Medicine, which will take three years to complete. I am deeply grateful to the WEF family for their continuous support throughout my academic journey.
During my studies at the Ordinary Level, my family faced significant financial challenges, making it nearly impossible for me to continue to secondary school. However, my parents worked hard and made sacrifices to ensure that I could enroll in Form One. This experience taught me the importance of hard work and perseverance in achieving my goals and finding success. I am also extremely thankful to the WEF family and to Madam Jude for their unwavering support since I became part of this community. Their encouragement has given me the strength to push forward and work even harder to achieve my dreams.
Throughout my life, I have met many people and formed friendships that have played a vital role in my personal growth. These individuals have helped me understand the world around me and the importance of learning from every experience. I’ve learned that people come and go, bringing both good and bad moments, as well as valuable life lessons. We should always be grateful for the people we encounter and the lessons they bring into our lives. Additionally, I am thankful for the leadership opportunities I had during my time at school. These experiences allowed me to demonstrate my sincerity and to support my fellow students in various situations. Leadership taught me that respect and empathy are essential qualities in both our personal lives and within our communities.
