What I can share with you today is that any setback encourages your success journey to a better future. What we learn from it is that the coming day is often greater than today. We should pull up our socks and tighten our shoes for the challenges ahead.
For instance, in 2023, I postponed my academic year due to a shortage of funds. However, this wasn’t the end of my education journey. It gave me a chance to start a petty business and focus on other social matters. This experience also raised my determination to pursue education. I worked day and night to secure funds, and now I am proud to say that I am a first-year student (2024/2025) at the Water Institute, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Plumbing and Service Engineering.
From the depths of my heart, I am sincerely thankful to the school fund sponsorship team for boosting my education journey. Their support with school uniforms, books, and tuition fees has been a great help. lifted a significant burden from my family and allowed me to focus fully on my studies. This act of kindness not only motivated me to work harder but also inspired me to value and extend kindness to others. The gratitude I feel has driven me to remain committed to my personal and academic goals, with the hope that one day I can give back to others in the same meaningful way.
During my O-level studies, serving as an academic prefect and debate organizer allowed me to foster a culture of active engagement and academic excellence. I encouraged every student to participate in debates, enhancing their confidence and critical thinking. As an academic prefect, I emphasized the use of English through campaigns like "No English, no service," which significantly improved language fluency and communication skills among students. These efforts contributed to a more inclusive, interactive, and academically driven school environment.
