Emmanuel Kyalo
My parents did their best to enroll me in a public primary boarding school but it did not take long before they encountered financial problems to keep me in the school. The place we lived in was a rental iron sheet house which most of the time leaked rain water into the house and the landlord would sometimes kick us out of the house because of not paying the rent on time.
The most difficult experience I have had in life is when my parents tried to keep me in school but they could not. Even when I was the top performer in my class, I was sent home for not paying school fees. The lesson I learnt was that money cannot buy brains.
I was proud of myself when the KCPE results were announced and found out that I had passed.
I am yet to have my happiest moment in life but I am sure it will be the moment when I receive my doctorate. My dream in life is becoming the sale advisor of my country in the major sector.
I will make sure that none of my siblings drop out of school for lack of funds. Food will be a priority to family members and the community to an extent.
If I have the power I would get rid of the corrupted leaders. I would make sure that all children get education up to the college level. I would also promote employment of jobless people.

I Emmanuel Junior write this letter to thank the U-Tena organization for the support they have given me this term. The term has not been easy as it was one of the shortest terms. Having not completed the syllabus, it was equally hard to study ahead of the teacher and revise for the exams. Also, there have been many activities happening within the school and I was in some of them hence limiting my study time. Having done poorly in my previous exams, I aim to get better grades. Thank you for the support and May God bless you.
