Davine Mogaka
Growing up in a busy urban environment I had to balance school work and home responsibility like chores which taught me discipline, time management and resilience.
Challenges faced were limited learning materials and sometimes lack of school fees which made it hard to fully participate in all activities the lessons I gained were hard work, discipline and using the little resources available to do my best.
When I improved my grades after working hard for several terms, setting a daily study routine when I saw progress I felt proud.
When I completed K.C.S.E and qualified to join the university when results were announced.
To become a well-educated and responsible professional who can support my family, contribute to my community and inspire others through my work, to get there I plan to stay focused in my studies work hard in every class and build my knowledge and experiences.
After dream is reached I would help my family by helping to pay school fees for my younger siblings and health-related expenses.
For my community, I would volunteer my time by tutoring students, mentoring those who are struggling in school.
For WEF, once I am in the position to do so I would contribute to WEF and also share my story and experience with new scholars.
I would focus on improving education, healthcare and job opportunities for young people and improve public hospitals and clinics.
"Dream big, work hard and never let any obstacle stop you from becoming the person you were meant to be."
