Blessing Mutie
From primary school to secondary school life has not been that hard. In primary school life was easy because I got support from my family and teachers. When I had a problem, I would go and open it up to my parents, mostly my mom.
The most difficult time in my life was when I got 315 marks in my K.C.P.E. exam. This is because I expected to get above 350. To me I failed. I did not study enough and I relaxed too much. Now I understand that nothing good comes when one is relaxing. One should come out of his/her comfort zone and work hard so as to succeed in life after all hard work pays off.
The best moment in my life was when I got an A- grade in form one first term. I was so happy to be among the top 10 in my class. I was so happy when I was given a present by my teacher for the good work I had done. My parents were also proud of me.
My dream in life is to get a good job that pays well. For me to get there I know I have to work hard and have discipline so that I can reach my dream.
The first thing I am going to do is to move my family from the state they are in right now. I will give them everything that they never had in life, that is a good house, food, and clothing. I will pay my sister's school fees.
If I had power to change my country, I would like to change education and health sectors, mostly the slums. Many teenagers have turned to drugs and others bad things because they do not have anything to do. If they are given jobs, they will be busy and this will help us build the country. An idle mind is the devil's workshop and that is what we are trying to avoid.
