Filimon Filbert
When I completed my O-level studies, I faced the heartbreaking loss of my father, which deeply saddened me. As the only son in my family, I often thought about how I could support my family in various ways, especially since I was still young. This challenge motivated me to work even harder in my studies; to achieve success so I could eventually help my family.
One of the things I am most grateful for in my life is the support I received from the World Education Fund (WEF). Their assistance, especially with school fees, was crucial during my advanced studies. Without their help, it would have been very difficult for me to continue. WEF’s encouragement has kept me motivated, and I am thankful for their role in allowing me to pursue my education to this point.
When I completed my A-level studies, I was determined to succeed and move on to university. I prayed to God for guidance, and I am grateful that my dreams come true. This achievement has helped me grow, both in my education and in my understanding of life in general. I believe that by focusing on my studies, I am doing the right thing to secure a better future for myself and my family.
In terms of leadership, I served as the class monitor during my O-level studies from Form 3 to Form 4. In this role, I worked hard to encourage my classmates to study diligently, and this brought positive changes in our overall performance. Additionally, in my community, I actively participated in various activities with my neighbors, contributing to their success as well.
