Majuto Ernest
The most difficult experience I had in life was after completion of my O-level studies. My relatives refused to pay for my A level studies because I am a middle deaf. Through that experience, I have learnt to stand by my decisions and I went to school without school uniforms in full and other school items.
I was very happy when I got a chance to join Karatu secondary school and I think this is where my dream will become true.
My dream is to become mechanical engineer. I'll achieve it through studying hard and getting division one so that I can be accepted at university
When I become able, I will support my community by providing education to my siblings and starting an NGO for deaf people.
As a future mechanical engineer, my goal is to design innovative solutions that address real-world challenges and uplift the community around me. I plan to work on projects that promote sustainable energy, improve infrastructure, and develop cost-effective technologies to enhance daily life.

Through my profession, I aim to create opportunities for local industries, inspire young minds to pursue engineering, and contribute to the overall growth and well-being of society. My mission is to use engineering not just for progress but also for meaningful, lasting impact in my community.

To day I want to share about important of education

Education is one of the most essential foundations of personal and societal development. It is a tool that enables individuals to open doors to opportunities, improve their quality of life, and contribute to economic, social, and political progress. Although many people recognize the importance of education, challenges in accessing it still exist — especially in rural areas and among low-income families. In this journal, I will discuss the benefits of education, the challenges it faces, and the steps needed to improve educational systems worldwide.

The Importance of Education

1. Driving Economic Growth
Education is the key to solving economic challenges. An educated person is more likely to be employed or self-employed, thus contributing to national economic growth. Moreover, educated individuals tend to start businesses, create jobs, and make investments that strengthen the economy.

2. Improving Health and Quality of Life
Education also brings awareness about health and well-being. Educated people are generally more likely to practice good hygiene, eat balanced diets, and seek medical care when necessary. As a result, education leads to healthier, longer lives and reduces the spread of diseases.

3. Developing Critical Thinking and Creativity
Education gives people the ability to think critically and solve problems. It encourages creativity, innovation, and analytical thinking. Educated individuals can bring positive change to society by inventing new technologies and finding solutions to social challenges.

4. Promoting Equality and Justice
Education offers equal opportunities for all — regardless of gender, race, or social background. It empowers individuals to understand and defend their rights, reducing discrimination and promoting fairness and equality within communities.

Challenges Facing Education

1. Lack of Resources
Many schools around the world face shortages of basic resources such as desks, books, and qualified teachers. This affects the quality of education students receive.

2. Social and Cultural Barriers
In some cultures, children — especially girls — are discouraged from going to school due to traditional beliefs or family responsibilities. These barriers contribute to gender inequality and limit access to education.

3. Poverty and Limited Access
Many poor families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, or learning materials. As a result, children from these families are often forced to drop out of school or miss the chance to study altogether.

Conclusion

Education is a basic human right and a cornerstone of human development. Despite the challenges it faces — such as lack of resources, social barriers, and poverty — efforts must continue to ensure that every child has access to quality education, regardless of gender, background, or environment. This is the time to invest in education so that everyone can have a chance at a better, more fulfilling life through learning.
