In school I found myself being influenced by other pupils most of the time due to peer pressure, I found myself being misled by them and following them pretending to be someone who I was not. When the teachers noticed this, they started giving me some counselling and advice which could help me since I was going astray. After I realized my mistake, I mended my ways and changed for the better. From this I learnt that I should not be negatively influenced by other people and I should not try to be someone who is not since I may end up somewhere wrong. I also started to participate in other useful activities which I found to be relaxing. These were drawing, playing football, and skating, which I found that I was also good in them.
The most difficult experience I had was when I had set apart my books from me and stopped reading during the covid-19 pandemic. I saw no importance of studying since I thought that schools would be closed forever and learning had ended there. That is when my father came with test papers for me to fill out and that's when I saw that I remembered nothing. From then on, I knew the importance of reading and revising.
The moment that I felt proud of myself was when I was chosen to be the class prefect of our class. I felt as if the teachers had a lot of trust in me to take care of the pupils and also the class. I knew I had a lot of responsibility but I was up to the task to the task to lead them in the right direction.
The day that I will never forget is the day when the KCPE results were out. When my parents checked my results, they were very happy to see the marks I had scored. All my relatives and friends started to congratulate me for the good work I had done. I knew that they were all proud of me and most of all, especially my parents.
My dream in life is to become a successful person in the future. I also intend to put a lot of effort into my studies to see that I pass my examination. I also engage myself in co-curriculum activities so that I may not find myself idle most of the time.
After I reach my dream, I am going to build a good house for my parents to live in so that they may stop suffering a lot. I also intend to help the needy, especially on education matters since they also have dreams like other people. By doing those they are most likely to achieve their goals in life and being prosperous people who will also come to help others.
The thing I would like to change is the corruption cases in our country. This corruption makes most of the people suffer. It is also what has made our country not develop well. In some circumstances, people who had been given money by the government to develop a place end up using the money themselves and the area still remains undeveloped, which can end up causing problems.
