Joy Kwamboka
After sitting for the national examination, I was eager to know the school that I would join. Thinking of the background, I came from my hopes of continuing studying failed. I came from a very poor background and even my friends despised me. I prayed hard that God would bless my mother so that I would study hard and help the community.
The worst experience in my life was when I was sent away from school, mostly because of the lack of school fees. After sitting for the first examination, I felt proud of myself since I knew that hard work pays. I scored an A- which inspired me on how my future life would be despite the background I came from.
The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is seeing my dreams come true regardless of the background I come from.
My dream is to become a doctor in order to help my mother, the community and other children who come from backgrounds like mine. I would study smart in order to achieve this dream.
After I achieve my dreams, I would improve the living standards of my family and the community and also offer scholarships and guiding and counselling services for the less fortunate. I would acquire educational skills because education is key in our nation.
