Felister Mbalwa
My name is FELISTER MBALWA, and I am a student at Ganako Secondary School. I was born in Karatu District in 2011. My family consists of 5 members: my mother, my sister, two grandparents and me. My mother is a farmer who plants crops like maize and beans. After harvesting, she sells the produce and earns around 300,000 to 1,950,000 Tshs annually. Despite our challenges, she does her best to support our education and fulfill our needs.
We experience happiness during birthdays and holidays when we have the chance to meet and celebrate with others. My sister is teaching nursery school, and we are grateful for the support my mother provides.
I face difficulties when my mother struggles to buy necessities like school uniforms and food. Sometimes, we lack essential items that affect my ability to study effectively. I feel sad when I see how hard my mother works, yet we still face these challenges.
Despite the difficulties, I study hard, hoping to help my mother one day and improve our living conditions.
I dream of building a better future for myself and my family, and I want to support my community as well.
