Dorcas Mnunuanjia
My name is Glory Joseph, and I am fourteen years old. I am a student at Welwel Secondary School and the youngest child in my family, which has seven children.
The economic position of my family is poor because my parents do not earn enough money. My father is a peasant farmer, and my mother does not have a job. As a result, we struggle to afford school uniforms, exercise books, food, and other essentials.
One moment of happiness for me was when my parents encouraged me to go to school. They were proud of my progress in learning English, and I felt grateful for their support. Their encouragement motivates me to study hard and improve my skills.
Seeing my family in such a difficult financial situation inspires me to work hard in school. I do not want to live in poverty, so I am determined to study diligently to achieve a better life and help my family become financially secure. I dream of a future where we can escape the struggles we face today.
