In the family, things do not come easily and need cooperation, determination, and hard work accompanied by prayers and trust.
When my family was affected by the two calamities that rendered our family into deeper challenges that have not been easy to come out.
We were affected by the Kariobangi North demolitions in 2020 and the Mathare River overflood that swept our belongings.
Lesson: at an unexpected time, life can change for anybody, either positive or negative, but you should not lose hope.
I felt especially proud of myself when I led in exams, and also my first time to score a goal in a football match in an inter-school competition.
The most memorable and happiest thing in my life was that I was the first person to enroll in the CBE curriculum in our family at large.
I dream to be an architect and then be able to assist other vulnerable children who will find themselves in the same situation I am in today.
I would get there by working hard, concentrating on the positive advice I get, and developing a positive attitude towards others.
I would avoid an individualistic mind, instead of eating all by myself, I will call people to come we all eat.
I would stabilize the education so that every child will get an education equally and to eliminate poverty.

The second term of 2026 began smoothly with organized student property, shifting into active learning by the second week and culminating in a solid pre-midterm exam score of 51 out of 69 points. Following a brief mid-term break from June 24 to June 30, tragedy struck when the Grade 10 "Falcon" dormitory was destroyed by fire during breakfast, destroying all belongings and leading to an immediate emergency closure for Grade 10 students. A subsequent Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) investigation revealed the fire was arson committed by a Grade 10 student rather than an electrical fault. To resume learning, families were required to pay a KSh 5,000 fine alongside all remaining term fees, a heavy financial burden that led to many students being turned away at the gate, though the reporting student cleared the funds in time to finish the term by August 3rd.

At the start of the school year, I was able to join The Highway Senior School by the grace of God, hard work of loving parents and the support we got from U-Tena which we are thankful for. I reported to the school on the 19th day of January the year 2026. I was admitted to the school and received my admission number, my uniform, my boarding items including my stationary were marked with my admission number for safety and easy identification and i was allocated a classroom and a dormitory. we started learning on the 26th of January. i was allocated a lesson timetable and the classes where the lessons were to take place and I successfully started learning. lessons and school schedules continued as usual until the first midterm break on the 25th of February, and we went home. We resumed learning on the 1st day of March, and learning continued as scheduled and I had an amazing learning for the rest of the second half of the term. We marked the end of the first term on Tuesday, April 7 and we went home for the first end term holiday
