GRADE 10 APRIL HOLIDAY'S JOURNAL 2026
It was my first time in a boarding school. At first I was filled with confusion, anxiety and afraid of what could happen in the coming days or weeks. In the first two weeks after my admission to the new senior school wich was Utumishi Boys Academy, It was immensely difficult for me to adjust to the new environment of my new school, new faces and the new schedule of the new school. As time goes on gradually I was able and I slowly adjusted to the new school and the unfamiliar environment of the place. This was only possible because of the help of my big brothers in that were the form 3 and 4.

In ever successful path there must be challenges. Some of the challenges I faced in my very first term in senior school were,Lack of textbooks deu to Irresponsibility of our Kenyan government of late distribution of those books at the right time. In the other hand the fear to approach teachers is what contributed to the growth of my challenges I can state that I was not able to achieve my academic goals which was a mean grade of an EE1 in all the exams tests, this was mid term exams and end term exams.I was able to achieve this goal only on my mid term exam which I scor an EE1 of 50 points this was because the exam was a repetitions of what we covered in grade 9.when we did our end of term assessment I dropped and I got a ME2 of a mean grade of 34 points. This was only because of the lack of enough facilities to study which. In the next term I am Planning on improving on my academics by telling my parents to make an effort of buying for me those textbooks and those facilities.
